2002 Launching of the extensive campaign on upgrade / restructure of production process and technology assigning production of special products to different plants.

2005, Today the EC EPK represents the RF in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The EC EPK is the main organization of the secretariat of the Interstate Technical Committee ITC 307 "Rolling bearings", which has a purpose to develop and review the standards harmonized with international ones. The EC EPK includes the Test Center accredited by the Federal Agency of Technical Regulation and Metrology to confirm its independence and technical skill.

Audit of the Volzhsky Bearing Plant confirmed that it is in compliance with the German vehicle standard VDA-6.3.

 

2012  

EPK lobbied for the engineering industry in response to Russia accession to the WTO.

March - JSC Permsky Motorny Zavod (Ob'edinennaya dvigatelestroitelnaya corporatziya (United Engine Corporation)) in cooperation with JSC Aviadvigatel held a meeting with suppliers.  The meeting information: EPK is the largest supplier of bearings for the PS-90А engines and industrial gas turbine plants; it takes part in product development for the advanced engine PD-14 of the fifth generation.

EPK rebranding: the plants were renamed to the EPK Moscow, EPK Volzhsky, EPK Samara, EPK Saratov, EPK Stepnogorsk.

2008, Transfer of production capacities of Moscow Aircraft Bearing Plant to Samara.

Foundation of the joint venture with the American company Brenco in Saratov to produce the axle box bearings of new generation, of TBU type.

EPK is acknowledged as a member of the non-commercial partnership Ob'edinennye Proizvoditely Zheleznodorozhnoy Tekhniki (United Manufacturers of Railway Machinery).

To represent the domestic bearing production at the RF executive bodies EPK initiates foundation of the Bearing Manufacturers Association, which includes 10 Russian bearing plants.

The EPK market power at the vehicle components sector has been constantly increasing.  The customer list now includes SAF specializing in production of axle shafts and air suspensions for independent and semi- trailers; as well as ZF , which is a well-known manufacturer of assemblies, chassis components and automatic transmissions. 

2010, EPK introduced a number of programs to improve the Group position at the international market.  EPK axle box bearings were certified according to the European Standard TSI ratified by the European Railway Agency.  In comparison with 2009 EPK export sales of bearings increased by 46%.

2007, Increase of shareholding of Samara Aircraft Bearing Plant to 79.5%.

Purchase of Samara Bearing Plant.

The EPK starts bearing supply to the DaimlerChrysler automotive corporation assembly-line enterprises.

The EPK customers now include the Korean automotive corporation Daewoo, the parts manufacturers: BPW (Germany) and SAF (France).

2009, Shareholding of Samara Aircraft Bearing Plant was increased to 100%. EPK bearings are used in the aerospace and shipbuilding complexes of the RF. 

 

2011, EPK experts develop propositions to the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade concerning development and implementation of the "RF bearing sub-industry Development Concept for the period until 2020".

The company had been developing bearings for the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The pilot lot of the SAM146 engine accessory gear box bearings was manufactured (this engine is installed at the Sukhoi Superjet 100).  EPK supplied bearings mounted to the advanced engine PD-14 (installed to the airliner МС-21).  (When the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and МС-21 projects are united the unified pool of suppliers will be generated; EPK is expected to become a part of it).

At the Air Show MAKS-2011 the company made a settlement with the French company Aubert&Duval concerning the supply of heat-resisting steel, which allows considerable increasing of the aircraft bearings life cycle.  EPK in cooperation with iron and steel plants participate in development of new advanced steel grades similar to foreign-made steel grades M50 and M50Nil.

The Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology evaluated the EPK production quality: rolling bearings for compressor and turbine shaft bearings, gear boxes and units of the D-30, NK-8 (86) aircraft engines. The EPK products were acknowledged among the list of 100 best products of Russia.

The National Rating Agency (NRA) rated EPK as "AA-" (extremely high reliability / credit capacity, third level).  The Agency evaluated the EPK financial situation as stable.

EPK is the first of the TOP-5 manufacturing equipment and bearing exporters according to the Kommersant Publishing House.

the International Rating Agency Standard & Poor's awarded EPK with the longtime corporate credit rating "B+" and the National Rating "ruA+", the predicted status is "stable".

The Czech manufacturers of fuel pumps for automobile, tractor, train and ship engines, as well as for construction machinery gear boxes, the MOTORPAL company rated EPK as "A" and awarded it with the qualified supplier status.

2013, EPK is preparing for a new stage of modernisation - moving of OOO Moskovsky Podshipnik bearing plant to Saratov. Brand new innovative equipment is installed in the shops of OAO EPK Saratov. EPK consolidates its position on railway equipment market by improving manufacturing process of bearings.


2014, OOO Novie Tekhnologii was found on the territory of Moskovsky Podshipnik plant on Sharikopodshipnikovskaya street. This is the place where ideas for large-size bearing production are generated.

The rebranding of EPK plants is finished. Every plant has its own unique name: OAO EPK Volzhsky, OAO EPK Samara, AO EPK Saratov, AO EPK Stepnogorsk.

Import substitution programme of high precision bearings
